Beautiful stone-built hotel with a pool in Armenoi

For sale a beautiful stone-built hotel located in a picturesque village of Apokoronas region, on a hillside with east orientation, from where it offers excellent views over the plain of the river Koiliari and up to the sea and the Souda Bay.

The hotel consists of 5 two-storey maisonettes, all built in stone and wood. Each is built stepped up on the slopes of the hillside, with common courtyards but independent verandas or balconies with outdoor tables and chairs, several quiet corners. Each maisonette has two entrances.

All have air conditioning and heating on both floors and hot water from solar and electric water heater. Furniture is handmade, carved from beech wood. Linen draperies are embroidered and there are quilts and feather pillows on the beds.

Bedrooms have double beds with orthopedic mattresses, ample wardrobe and clothes storage, full-length dressing mirror. Wooden hangers are provided in wardrobes. Bathrooms continue the tasteful country-house decorative touches and have all the useful facilities (of course hairdryers are provided) and are equipped with showers.

Ground floor: kitchen with a full-size oven with ceramic hotplate surface, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, frappe maker, toaster, small electric vacuum cleaner, pressure cooker, utensils, ample pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, and dishes.
Dining room with a large table made of wood and marble and hand-made engraved chairs.
Sitting room with fireplace, Smart – High Definition TV 40″, DVD-player, stereo, telephone, sofa (with orthopedic mattresses which can convert to two single or one double bed).

First floor: gallery/loft bedroom with double bed, orthopedic mattress, wardrobe, screen, full-length mirror, iron, ironing board, telephone. Bathroom with shower, washing machine, and washer dryer, hairdryer.

The Houses

Blue villa – Mantzourana
One double bedroom maisonette of 55 m² which may accommodate up to 3 persons. Its areas are made up of four deferent levels. It comprises a balcony and one covered veranda. It is dated since the end of 1800, while in the past served as a store room for grains, oil, and wine. One of its areas was part of the wine press which does not exist now.

Orange villa – Diktamos
One double bedroom maisonette of 65 m² with the possibility to easily accommodate up to 4 persons. The bedroom is located on the ground floor and its two walls is natural rock under the soil. It incorporates one independent courtyard and has access to the roof with a magnificent panoramic view to the entire area and the pool. This dwelling was built in 1913 and the ground floor in the past was used as a barn-stable, while the first floor as a weave room and elementary school.

Green villa – Faskomilia
One double bedroom maisonette of 75 m², easily accommodating up to 4 persons. The characteristics of this dwelling are the traditional wooden stove, the large chimney and the well, all found inside the house. It incorporates an indoor veranda, a large independent courtyard and has access to the roof with a magnificent panoramic view. It was initially built in the mid 1800’s and was used as a kitchen-dinning room while inside the well they kept cheese products and wine due to the temperature difference.

Purple villa – Malotira
One double bedroom, newly built maisonette of 85 m² easily accommodating up to 4 persons. It is built with traditional materials and in a traditional manner and totally blends in with the natural environment. Incorporates one indoor veranda with amazing view to the valley of Apokoronas and Cretan sea, one independent courtyard and has private access to the roof with a magnificent panoramic view to the entire area.

Red villa – Fliskouni
One double bedroom new maisonette of 90 m², in total harmony with the area and the oldest buildings. Has one double bedroom and  may accommodate up to 4 persons. The only one with canted tile roof in the bedroom, located higher than all the other dwellings. It incorporates two indoor verandas with amazing pool, mountain, valley, sea and pool view.

There are also a heated ecological pool of 39 m², a gym, a Turkish bath, a study area-library as well as a complete and functional traditional grocery store.

The area is an ideally spot for those who are looking for relaxation, in a safe and quiet area in the nature, but at the same time not far away from big cities and and busy touristic areas in case you  would like a city break or nightlife.  Surrounded by mountains, but with sea view, you can find almost everything in a short distance. Nice beaches, rivers and lake, caves, gorges, archaeological sites, authentic character villages, traditional tavernas, but big city with modern facilities, shops, bars and restaurants as well.

Within 10 minutes’ drive is the village of Stylos, where you will find mini markets and many traditional taverns that are open all year round. Within 20 minutes’ drive we find the seaside town of Kalyves, where you can find all kinds of shops and services as well as a long, sandy beach with areas with facilities or quieter places. The city and the airport of Chania are about 35 and 40 minutes’ drive, respectively.
